Recognition

Resilience Through Art began as a personal healing practice before evolving into exhibitions, community programs, and shared creative experiences. The work shown and recognised here is grounded in lived experience and a belief in art as a place of refuge and transformation.

You can read the origins of this journey in Studio Notes.

My artistic journey is shaped by resilience, life experience, and continuous learning.

My work has been shared through exhibitions, creative programs, and community-based projects, reflecting a commitment to storytelling through art.

Rooted in emotion, place, and memory, each piece explores transformation, how beauty, strength, and meaning emerge through lived experience.

Living Books – Human Rights Storytelling (2009)

I participated in Living Books, a community storytelling event held in Far North Queensland to mark International Human Rights Day. Hosted by the Anti-Discrimination Commission Queensland, the initiative used personal narratives to foster understanding, empathy, and dialogue around human rights and anti-discrimination.

Sharing space with fellow storytellers, the event highlighted the power of lived experience in building community connection and social awareness.
