Between Two Homelands
Between Two Homelands is a mixed-media painting exploring migration, memory, and belonging through the meeting of two landscapes: the ancient deserts and cultural heritage of Jordan, and the tropical waterways and rainforests of Far North Queensland. Inspired by my own journey between these places, the work reflects the experience of carrying more than one sense of home and finding connection between past and present.
Medium: Mixed Media on Canvas
Size: 121 × 50 cm
Original Artwork
Unframed
Currently submitted to the John D Bowe Art Prize 2026. Availability subject to competition outcome.
