Golden Script

A meeting of movement, light and gratitude.

Golden Script brings together the strength and movement of the horse with expressive Arabic calligraphy, allowing image and script to emerge through layers of turquoise, gold, yellow and deep shadow.

Rather than functioning as separate symbols, the horse and calligraphic marks become part of the same visual language. Areas of transparency and texture allow forms to appear and recede, giving the work a sense of movement and discovery.

The painting reflects an ongoing thread in Hala Kattab’s practice — exploring heritage, spirituality and resilience through contemporary abstraction.
